How to make your EMM account even more secure
For us as an email marketing service provider, data protection and data security always come first. This is especially true for our products and our customers' data. That's why we have made the E-Marketing Manager (EMM) even more secure.Two-way authentication, also known as two-factor authentication, prevents unauthorized third parties from logging into your account.
How to make your EMM account even more secure: 2-way authentication
Tokenless 2-way authentication
Two-way authentication often means that you always have to carry the corresponding codes or tokens (= an electronic key) with you. And if the tokens are lost, stolen or you simply don't have them to hand, access to the respective account is impossible. Now you're thinking, I don't want to always carry around codes and be afraid that I'll lose them and someone will end up logging in with them? That doesn't have to be the case either.
Tokenless 2-way authentication simplifies this principle. A dynamic code made up of numbers that is sent by email to the address stored by the user in the account means that you don't always have to carry several codes with you. Access to your email inbox is completely sufficient.
The 2-way authentication in EMM
In principle, an EMM user must confirm that the login to the thailand phone number data system from a specific device is legitimate. To do this, the user receives a security code to the email address they have provided. The user must enter the security code the first time they log in to the device. Every device from which a login has been made with a valid security code is registered by the system. The user no longer needs another security code for this device. However, the registration of this device only applies to this one user. If another user logs in using the same device, they must also enter their own security code. To ensure maximum security, this authentication expires 90 days after the last login. The user then receives a new security code.
Advantages for the EMM
A short example shows the advantages of 2-way authentication in EMM:
Let's assume that a third party has obtained the access data in some way. They now try to log in from any computer. The computer has almost certainly never been used to log in to the EMM and is therefore not registered for the EMM. The owner of the access data, but not the unauthorized third party, now receives an email with the security code. The unauthorized third party cannot complete the authentication of the device because they do not know the security code. The owner of the access, in turn, receives an email with a security code for a login attempt that they did not make. This is an indication of a security incident. In this case, it is strongly recommended that you change your password.
Make your EMM account even more secure
To use 2-way authentication , you only need to keep two things in mind:
A valid email address must be stored for each user of your account.
A computer is identified using a cookie. The browser must therefore accept cookies.
