Jesus Cediel: I have managed to position a blog article on page 2 of Google, but it refuses to enter the first page of search results. What else can I do?
Bruno: Well, there are millions of things you can do. But if we had to highlight the four or five most important ones, we're going to focus on the time people spend on that post or on that content that you have, which is currently on the second page. Everything you can do to increase the time spent on that post will radically increase its position. Then, the CTR , if your title is currently being clicked by 5% of the people who see it on Google, for example, you're going to try to transform that title so that more than 5% of people click on that title when they see it. When we improve that title, Google is going to detect that a higher percentage of people are clicking on it and it's going to move you up in position if those on page 1 have a lower CTR than you do. The click-through rate is the CTR. And then, we already know that social media shares , getting links , and links from other websites to the website you want to position, are also going to be some of the most important factors. Of the more than one hundred factors that can exist in SEO, these four that I have mentioned would be the most important for improving positions.
Google Analytics and SEO10. Tips on Google Analytics and SEO
Alan Siri: Hello, I am a freelance journalist for Blasting News Spain. Our articles mobile directory analysed using Google Analytics (visit count), so SEO positioning is vital to our activity. What advice can you give me?
Bruno : Well, focusing on Google Analytics, I would recommend that you look at which content people spend the most time on and which content has received the most links from other sites. These are going to be your model articles and the ones you are going to try to repeat so that your next content ranks very well.
Otherwise, I'll tell you the same thing we told Jesús before. Keep in mind those 4 or 5 things like CTR, time spent on the site, getting links and being shared on many social networks. That's going to be very important for your positioning.
Web positioning11. Web positioning
Jose Cob : The size of a website is relevant for ranking faster and better than a small website. What factors are the determining factors for ranking faster?
Bruno : A large website has the advantage of having many URLs, and when we talk about the positioning of a page, you actually position for each of the URLs that your page has. If your page is a One Page, which is what they call those with a single URL, you will only be able to position for one keyword because you only have one different URL to position. An online store that has 3,000 products and, therefore, has many URLs, will ultimately position for many different keywords. Does size matter? In this case, size matters. Obviously, then we would have to talk about quality. But, in principle, size is also an important factor.
Indexed and crawled content12. Indexed and crawled content
Patricia Colón: What is the difference between indexed and crawled content?
Ernesto : Basically, indexed and crawled content are, in principle, the same thing, because crawling is when Google sends its robots to your site and collects information from your website. But indexed is also when Google incorporates it into its search results. Can there be content that is crawled and not indexed? Indeed, there could be content that Google has crawled and has not been indexed when you have added the “no index” meta tag to this content, to this web page, to this post, in the HTML code. In this way, even if that content is published on the Internet, Google would not be indexing it.
