Less shy through social media

Social media are popular among young people. This is evident from many studies that have been conducted. But have young people written off other means of communication? You can read the answer today in the Infographic Day series .
Common Sense Media recently conducted research among more than 1,000 American youngsters between the ages of 13 and 17. They processed the most important results of the study in the infographic below. Once again, it appears that social media are popular among youngsters. 90% of generation Y uses social media. These communication tools are followed by text messages (87%) and e-mail (77%).
More than half of respondents indicate that they visit a social media site daily. At 68%, SMS is used lebanon telegram data more often than social networks. Young people say that social media helps them maintain relationships with friends (52%) and family (37%). In addition, using social media makes Generation Y feel less shy (29%) and more self-confident (20%).
Face to face
But despite the popularity of social media, about half of young people prefer face-to-face contact, because the interaction is more fun (38%) and because the conversation partner can be understood better (29%). In addition, 9% say that it is also easier to talk about personal topics during these conversations. 6% think that face-to-face also makes it possible to discuss more serious topics.
