Many consumers are becoming more aware of meat consumption and sustainability. 42 percent of Germans say they are eating less meat as a result of the current debate about climate change . 20 percent say they eat significantly less meat, and 22 percent have at least reduced their consumption somewhat. One in five (20 percent) say they would like to eat less meat, but are unable to do so.
23 percent of respondents said they have no interest in rcs database reducing their meat consumption due to the current climate debate. 12 percent said they have been eating less or no meat for some time or for other reasons.
Note on methodology: The information is based on a survey conducted by Bitkom Research on behalf of the digital association Bitkom in November 2019. 1,003 German citizens aged 16 and over were interviewed by telephone. The questions were: "Have you recently changed your meat consumption due to the debate on climate change?" and "Can you imagine trying meat from a 3D printer?"
