Post by samiaseo222 »

Transforming a 1984 library binding Revisionist Press edition into a 1974 trade cloth Gordon Press edition is easy if there never was a 1984 library binding edition in the first place, if Gordon/Revisionist Press exist only as phantom publishers created by a Government spy agency -- spooks materializing primarily in the data-bases of Global Books In Print, Amazon.com, and the Library of Congress, but not on the shelves of libraries in the physical form of authentic deluxe edition books.

It is easy for Gordon/Revisionist Press to dispose of job function email list virtually half or more of its inventory, if it never-was-real-ly one of the largest publishers in America -- as Bowker's Books In Print records indicated it was in the mid 1990's. Gordon/Revisionist Press can also lower its profile by claiming to distribute fewer titles. Considering the cost of Gordon/Revisionist Press’ books, what kind of money is involved if they reduce their holdings by over 3,000 titles?

After declaring that the university In Print, the reference staff indicated that I might find the books I was seeking through the Internet site for Bowker’s BooksinPrint.com, Amazon.com, or the Internet site for the Library of Congress. These references were actually very useful. The Library of Congress Online Catalog lists 78 detailed records for Revisionist Press and 396 full record entries for Gordon Press ...using the recognizable ISBNs we have associated with these publishers: 0-87700-xxx-x, 0-8490-xxxx-x, and 0-87968-xxx-x. The Library of Congress Revisionist Press collection is primarily old social science and humanities books.
