In the world of the construction industry, the concept telegram data of BIM is increasingly being discussed. But what exactly is it? BIM is an acronym from the English meaning Building Information Modeling. This acronym can be translated as the modeling of information from Big Data for the construction industry. BIM comes from Big Data and the data flow it contains. Some would even say that it uses data from Smart Cities. BIM is therefore the processing of data from Big Data.

BIM is much more than a concept, it is above all a state of mind and a working method. Let's look together at all the steps that BIM offers by asking ourselves several questions. How is this concept becoming increasingly important in the digitalization of the construction sector? How is this concept characterized and how will BIM revolutionize its sector of activity?
Defining BIM is quite difficult, because many specialists define it in different ways. Therefore, we will focus on the definition proposed by the French Building Federation. BIM is above all a database, completed and updated by each professional during the progress of a project. It is used throughout the process, that is to say from its programming to its renovation or destruction.

BIM is therefore a concept moving from paper format to 3D. This concept therefore proposes to digitize and intelligently configure and structure each stage of the project. With all the data, it will be possible to do more:

Analysis and simulation
Checks on standards, on the budget, on the progress of work...
To visualize the different stages of the project.
This step is called digital modeling. It consists of visualizing everything on 3D plans, whether to carry out analyses or simulations.
