Internet marketing agency "Sinaps" has been working with advertising in social networks for 7 years. Of which the last 2 years we have been engaged in targeting in VK.

And then VKontakte rolls out a new, completely raw advertising account, and suggests moving there before August 1, 2023 (after this date, the old account was supposed to cease to exist). At the same time, it does not say how to master the new platform: there are no instructions and it is not clear when they will be.
Moving is worse than two fires
Spoiler: there were no fires, and the move was not such a “scary” event for us.
So, we are faced with a choice:
Work with familiar advertising tools while they are still available (by the way, they are still available at the time of publication) and wait for the first articles and explanations to appear
Accept the challenge of making a large-scale move of all client campaigns blindly, without loss of quality.
We saw new opportunities in the VK Advertising office and decided to move. In addition, we really love challenges and know how to form our own unique experience. We were also convinced that the team would cope and the processes would withstand such a shake-up.
It wasn't easy. The new RK is very different from the previous one, it has more fine-tuning.
There was no technical capability to automatically transfer campaigns to VK Advertising. Therefore, everything was done from scratch in the new account.
Day after day, we transferred data, rewrote ads, and reworked creatives. At the same time, we continued to work with clients on current advertising campaigns in the old account.
This is a lot of work, so during the move we optimized the employees’ time as much as possible, and most of the manual work fell on the shoulders of assistants.
There was no stress for the clients at all. The entire move was carried out without pauses in advertising, without the hassle of approvals. We ran the client's advertising campaigns in parallel in 2 offices. We divided the budget between the offices and completely stopped advertising in the old office when we could make sure that everything was ok with advertising in the new one.
They also decided not to delay the launches in the new VK Advertising. They took several new clients from b2b niches for testing and launched from scratch. A few days later, they received the first results and immediately in applications.
And from that moment on, within a month, all current clients were transferred to the new account.

What's the bottom line?
We organized a complete move to VK Advertising for 60 clients within a couple of months, and improved advertising results. It's like moving to business class at the price of economy - a nice bonus.
The team is slightly shocked, the clients are happy.
No matter how familiar and convenient a tool is, it is not eternal. We understand this, so we easily fit into adventures like this move. This allows us to maintain up-to-date expertise in our business and be ready for new challenges and projects.
The VK Advertising account has been rethought and can solve new problems. At the moment, more information and explanations have appeared, which makes the move and launch easier. Advertising campaigns really give better results for new goals, compared to the old account, but they need to be sorted out.
