Tropic Radio is still available

Post by asimj1 »

The not really crowning conclusion was the panel discussion on the major topic of the industry, which is indispensable for such events. Media critic Rainer Stadler from the NZZ was also there. When asked about the state of the radio offering, he did not provide an in-depth analysis, as one would have hoped from the specialist at the intelligence paper.

Stadler mentioned, as he has done for years, that he regrets that Radio Tropic no longer exists. He also misses a real jazz offering on the airwaves. In doing so, he shared his personal taste spain rcs data in music with those present - nothing more. In addition to revealing his preferences, he did not even attempt to approach the topic in a journalistic or scientific manner. But I found this rather meager, both in general and in this particular case.

My station Radio 1, which took over the license from Radio Tropic, has increased its market share thirteen times (!) compared to its predecessor. In a media world dominated by quantitative data, this would indicate that the needs of the audience are obviously being covered much better than before with scarce frequencies.which can hardly be considered a truly regrettable development. At the NZZ, too, I assume, the principle applies that a greater response from the public is better than a permanent loss of readers. But what applies to the print media should not simply be pushed aside in the case of radio. And so I hope that the link between academic analysis and practical press reporting will be better built in the future than it is today, so that the subject of investigation can finally be approached in a professional manner. And a word directly to the always charming Rainer Stadler: on the Internet, Rainer. I'm surprised that you, as a big Caribbean fan and long-serving media professional, have apparently completely missed this.
