If the attic is to be used in the house, then the wooden trusses are replaced with a frame structure.

In addition to the structure consisting of wooden trusses, a load-bearing wall is used so that the deflections of the load-bearing elements remain within acceptable limits. To increase the width of the attic, the frame of the outer wall of a house with an attic floor can be raised. In an attic space with a height of 0.6 m and higher, the walls, floors and ceilings are finished in the same way as on a residential floor. However, in order to place the necessary furniture, equipment and lay reinforcement near the walls, the free internal height in the room should be about 0.8 m.

Timber frame connections
The frame parts are connected using nails or special connecting elements, which are made from galvanized sheet steel with a thickness of 2...4 mm.
