Facebook has made several changes over the past year, most of which are aimed at improving the user experience. Now it surprises us with another feature that will change the way we view news in the feed, as well as the way advertisers relate to their own content. What is it about? Find out in the following article!

Meet “Breaking News”
This is an indicator that is being tested on a small group of brands, companies and advertisers in general. Approximately 50 of them currently enjoy this function, whose history is as follows:

– In November 2017, the popular social network began testi hungary mobile database ng such a feature with a local group of companies.

– Thanks to the success of this test, on their platform, they have now decided to add more companies to the list of their exclusive system.

New Facebook Indicator

What is the goal?
In a way, Mark Zuckerberg and his team intend to contribute to the credibility and success of content marketing campaigns of important names, such as the Washington Post. Thus, the fact that the public sees this tag in the links of these companies will generate greater expectation and interest. Therefore, it will contribute to a better organic reach for the content of such advertisers.

How will it work?
– Selected content creators will be able to use this flag once per day, up to five times per month, and for a maximum of six hours on each occasion.

– The above is intended to create an environment of credibility, since not all the news that is shared is technically “breaking” or true. Therefore, Facebook will prevent this function from being abused by default.

– Advertisers will also have access to the corresponding analytics to understand the data relating to the behaviour of such news on this platform.

– Readers will have the option to decide whether a particular story is worthy of being considered “Breaking News” thanks to a drop-down menu option, which also includes options to unfollow a page, save a post, or turn notifications on and off, among others.
