Social media are often used by marketers who are active in the business-to-consumer (B2C) sector. But these applications also offer opportunities for business-to-business (B2B) organizations. Today in the Infographic Day series, an overview of the use of social media by B2B marketers.

The infographic below was developed by Column Five and Marketo based on the Social Media Marketing Industry Report 2012 by Social Media Examiner (pdf). Every year they conduct a study on the use of social media. More than 3,800 marketers, mainly from the United States, contributed to the fourth edition.

B2B more active on LinkedIn
In 2010, 83 percent of B2B marketers indicated that they participated in social media. korea telegram data Two years later, this percentage had increased to 93 percent. Marketers mainly use Facebook (87 percent), LinkedIn (87 percent) and Twitter (84 percent). It is striking that more professionals in the B2B sector use LinkedIn than B2C marketers. The respondents indicate that they would like to explore the possibilities of Google Plus (70 percent) and weblogs (59 percent).
