When Alexa welcomes us home, our smartphone controls the coffee machine and the refrigerator announces that new milk needs to be bought, the "Internet of Things" (IoT for short) is right in our midst. But so that we can stay connected with each other and with the electronic devices in our everyday lives, cabling also plays an important role!
What is the Internet of Things?
The phenomenon of the "Internet of Things" (in the viber database original English wording: "Internet of Things", or IoT for short) describes the initiated and ongoing linking of real things or everyday objects (e.g. the smartphone , the refrigerator, the heater, ...) with the virtual reality of the Internet. In our analogue world, we have objects that can have a certain state. In contrast, within the virtual world of the Internet, there is "only" information, which in turn can trigger specific (re)actions when required and thus change the state of an object in the real world (e.g. turning on the heater).
As digitalization progresses, the IoT continues to develop over time: we find ourselves surrounded more and more by networked and intelligent devices in our everyday lives, for example by installing a SmartHome control system at home. The Internet of Things describes more the networking of conventional household appliances and tools with one another and with the aim of making people's everyday lives easier. The term "IoT" focuses less on the communication and networking that people are already used to using computers, smartphones, tablets and/or smart watches.
Internet of Things (IOT), but without infrastructure there can be no digitization
