Justice McCormick rejected the new compensation plan in January this year, describing the scale as "incomprehensible" and believing that the plan violated the fiduciary duty to investors. Tesla shareholders voted in favor of the plan in June, but McCormick declined to reconsider the ruling earlier this month. Musk and Tesla must appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court within 30 days, and the trial result may take about a year.

The company said a satellite from its subsidiary WISeSatpace is scheduled to launch on January 14 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
The satellite will carry technology to protect the communications of complex quantum computers capable of solving problems beyond the capabilities of conventional computers. Carlos Moreira, founder and CEO of WISeKey, said the launch represents a major step forward in the company’s mission to secure IoT communications and prepare for a postquantum future.
