Almost self-evident, but an important argument: the vision provides direction for the next 4 to 5 years (for me it is very difficult to have a concrete picture of much longer).
Where does your organization want to be in 5 to 10 years? What will the world around us look like then? And what will the organization look like then? How do people work (together), inside and outside the organization? The future and design of your intranet is largely determined by the way in which people work within organizations. Norms, values and other aspects of the organizational culture play an important role in this.
It is therefore essential that the intranet vision is based on the broader organizational vision. This organizational vision is the framework for developing the intranet vision. Because intranet becomes the starting point of daily activities in many organizations. Employees perform their tasks and work together from and on intranet. Then it had better be developed from a vision of the future that matches the vision of the organization.
Creation of intranet vision
There are of course many ways in which the vision on intranet can be created. Whatever steps senegal phone number list you take, the most important thing is that all important stakeholders are involved in the vision formation. After all, it must be a shared vision of the future that everyone can agree with. Possible steps for the creation:
1. Daydreaming about the future together
Let everyone in your organization dream about the future. What will the world look like in 2020 (or a little earlier)? What will your organization look like then? How do you go to work? How do information and communication flows proceed? What kind of tools do we use then? What do they look like? Share these stories with each other on a notice board, forum or discussion group on the intranet and inspire each other. A fun example I came across is an open forum of the Police Haaglanden in which employees share their vision on the intranet . And my colleague Christiaan Lustig also recently gave free rein to his thoughts about a working day in 2020 .
