Step 5. What if the constructor is automated?

Post by bhasan01854 »

I work in Figma, and this editor has the ability to set up automatic substitution of elements using components. This is where the idea of making a constructor was born, in which you can not only assemble an illustration from characters and objects, but also construct the characters themselves. And do it in a few clicks.

By setting certain constants in the position of the head or legs, I created the ability to select from a common base various details of the character, from eyebrows to boots.

Adding a new expression in the eyes, hairstyle ig database or outfit is a matter of a couple of minutes for the designer. And for the user of the constructor, it is a few additional characters.

As a result, the required character is created in a few clicks, and the number of its variants increases several times. In addition, the base of elements can be expanded indefinitely, adding more and more new variants to the character creation. It is enough to draw a new element, observing the specified dimensions, and place it in the desired frame to its analogues.
