The most important question, not only in the blogging world but in general when it comes to creating content of any kind – who is my audience and what do they want? Even before you start writing, you need to know who you are writing for and what they want to read.
It's important to know what your audience wants, not what you think they want. It's also important to not just write about yourself, which is a common affliction of many bloggers and business blogs. No one cares what you had for lunch yesterday, how much your corporation donated to charity, or what your plans are for the future.
People are generally selfish and self-focused. They don't want to waste their time on you, they want you to solve a problem for them, help them, entertain them, or teach them something. The sooner you realize this, the better it will be for you because you will stop writing for a non-existent audience and your audience will finally get what they are looking for, and that's on your website.

Once you answer the question WHY, you will need to answer the next question – what is the goal of your blog writing?

to increase the number of followers?
to develop your business?
to earn money?
to help your YouTube channel grow?
to send readers to your web shop?
something else?
Answering the question WHY and discovering your goals will help you achieve those goals and avoid wasting time writing content that no one wants to read.
Write only about what you know about.
Besides the fact that the internet is a great place to learn a lot, it is also a place where anyone can post whatever they want, which makes it sometimes difficult to filter out the quality content from the poor. If you want to be successful in what you do, then you will write about what you know a lot about, what interests you, and what you are already doing, if possible.
For example, I think a blog about gardening and healthy eating straight from the garden would be wonderful. Just imagine the beautiful photography that could be used. And some nice, slightly vintage font. And cookbooks and guides to planting organic carrots or beets in PDF form or a nice e-book. Great, right?
I think so too, except that there's one problem with my idea. It doesn't matter how much I like the topic, what matters is that I have no idea about gardening and organic food. I don't even have a garden. Do you see the problem? If I decided to blog about that topic, the following problems would arise:
I would run out of ideas very quickly.
I would have to steal other people's texts.
I would have to spend too much time learning and studying the content I could write about.
I would get bored very quickly because of the problems mentioned above.
Figure out what your strengths are. What are you better than average at? What is it that you can write about and teach for hours? And then focus on that topic.
