The Responsibility Matrix (RM), built on the principle of equal rights of participants, where only the signs "R" or "X" are presented, which fix the roles, has a number of advantages. Such a model is distinguished by the simplicity of implementation and control of results. The fact that the depth of involvement of other team members is not visible is not a disadvantage. Because when other designations are used, the number of questions that are difficult to answer also increases exponentially. An example of such a matrix is given below.
Approaches to building a RACI matrix
Sometimes the MO can be presented as a three-dimensional graph, which visually resembles an isometric composition. In project management, the direction associated with such graphics is becoming increasingly popular.
This model of the MO allows the management of the enterprise to quickly assess how actively the departments participate in various aspects of the company's activities. The figure shows an example of a three-dimensional matrix.

The RACI matrix model student database assumes that in some cases the MO should be compiled in accordance with the aggregated blocks of project activities. Thus, the columns in such a table represent the organizational and structural divisions of the relevant enterprise, and not specific team members. Please note that the methodology for distributing and monitoring responsibility in MO requires managers to ensure that the tool is proportional to the stages and levels of project tasks. At the conceptual stage, it is best to use matrices for enlarged blocks of work (even with multidimensional responsibility, but in a simplified model).
For a small project with business process-oriented tasks, it is recommended to use a simple peer-to-peer matrix. If the user of the MO is the head of the company and the project involves many departments, it is better to use a 3D isometric. However, when working with detailed plans and using them to distribute responsibilities, it is possible to rationally establish a traditional RACI, but without unnecessary complexity.
