The Romanian road safety awareness organization SafeDrive is also taking a similar approach.

The smartphone app, "SafeDrive," accumulates points based on the distance driven, and the accumulated points can be used for shopping at online stores affiliated with "SafeDrive."

If you operate your smartphone while driving, all accumulated points will be reset to zero.



4. "Driving BARISTA" offer period

What did you think of this introduction to the efforts to eliminate "distracted use of smartphones" by utilizing smartphone apps?

There seems to be some opinion that it feels strange that you get a reward (a coupon) if you don't do anything bad (using a smartphone while driving), but I would like to look into this as one approach to eradicating the use of smartphones while driving.
