Canva, Spark and more - graphics for social media

Post by mostakimvip06 »

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn - each of these platforms was created to implement different assumptions and goals, but they are united by, among other things, publishing graphics there . Posting texts online without adding visual elements is almost unheard of. Posts are accompanied by photos, graphics, animations, videos, gifs or infographics . All this is done to first draw the attention of the recipient with an image and thus encourage them to read the message or content that the sender wants to convey. The tendency of today's society is to consider visual, audiovisual and moving video images as the most attractive. Also, data, which until recently was associated with presenting numbers in a traditional way, now takes on a graphically attractive form. So where to create content that will diversify the published content? Today we will look at simple software that facilitates the preparation of content for social media .

Canva is probably the most frequently mentioned software for creating anything that can be considered a graphic . It saves us when we want to prepare an attractive presentation, an original InstaStory, edit a video or a graphic that fits the post. The range of possibilities that Canva serves us is really huge and listing all the available projects could be a separate entry. A large part of the tools, templates, photos, icons and music are available there for free . You can also store files in the "Uploaded" library that you want to use or will be useful to you in the future, e.g. logos and logotypes of clients. As a curiosity, or maybe a tip for people who are starting their adventure with running social media, I will say that at every job or internship interview that I went to, a question about knowledge of Canva was asked . Just a few years ago, being able to navigate this software efficiently was an incredible asset, now it is a basic skill that you must have. Fortunately, mastering it will not be a major challenge for you. Working in Canva is simple, intuitive and simply enjoyable . You can choose from hundreds of ready-made templates and modify them to suit your needs - change colors, fonts, photos, layout. At first, you will need quite a lot of patience, a sense of aesthetics and creativity. This is quite a reasonable price for a tool that makes work incredibly easy.

Adobe Spark , or software that we called “Canva by Adobe” in college. It wasn’t much of an exaggeration, because both tools work on similar principles and provide a similar number of possibilities. The first thing that comes to my mind in terms of differences is aesthetics. I don’t mean anything bad here, of course - both Canva and Spark are a real treasure trove of attractive templates and photos available as part of the use. The themes proposed by Canva are more pastel, colorful and fanciful. Those that we bosnia and herzegovina telemarketing data find in Spark rather bring to mind associations with austere aesthetics, subdued colors and simple forms . Similarly with the available stock photos - they suit specific tastes. Until recently, Spark did not have a library and file storage option. Currently, we can conveniently store them in folders , which allow us to organize photos or other materials for faster searches. Additionally, Spark can be connected to Dropbox and Google Photos and Drive . My favorite advantage of Adobe Spark is the ability to transform prepared graphics for the needs of a given application or platform - if we have created a graphic with dimensions corresponding to Facebook, with a few clicks we can adjust it for publication on Instagram.

Another answer for those looking for software to streamline the creation of necessary graphics. In my opinion, it is a compromise between Canva and Spark in terms of the level of intuitiveness, clarity, possibilities and aesthetics of the proposed templates. It is always an effective (and impressive) alternative for me , when I do not find anything that I need on the two software described above. Instagram templates in particular meet most expectations in terms of visuals. Using the free version, we can save graphics with a transparent background , which distinguishes Snappa from Canva. The paid version, on the other hand, gives the possibility of connecting accounts with the Buffer application and thus scheduling the publication of posts .

PicMonkey is a software that I discovered relatively recently and in my opinion it is the most different from other proposals. While in Canva, Spark or Snap the criteria for choosing a template are the requirements set for graphic designers by a given application, in PicMonkey we can choose them thematically. The so-called " brand templates " are available in the paid version of this tool. Another unique option is the possibility of photo retouching . If you feel that wrinkle removal and teeth whitening are what your graphics lack - PicMonkey should solve this problem. It must be admitted, however, that unlocking many practical options in this software requires paying for the premium version .

Creating infographics is possible, for example in Canva, but what about software strictly dedicated to data visualization ? Preparing and publishing maps, charts, presentations, reports or infographics - Infogram is a tool created for this very purpose! We are not only talking about static materials, but also about animated objects and interactive cards and maps - also in formats that meet the requirements of social media applications. Infogram also allows for the option of co-creating projects at the same time with other team members - this is not a common function. The software saves changes made on an ongoing basis, which minimizes the stress associated with losing a project. In addition, Infogram also has the option of assigning roles and tasks to members so as to streamline work as much as possible.
