Current test runs in selected companies

Post by rumana777 »

In the USA, Google is currently testing a useful new function within its "Google My Business" service that allows users to view missed calls. This function is called "Call History" . If a user finds a company or service provider in Google Search or Google Maps, for example, and taps on their phone number, but the call cannot be answered, this is a potentially lost customer. Phone numbers stored on websites can be called by tapping on virtually all modern smartphones. This is also possible on a PC, provided that telephone software is installed (e.g. Skype or VoIP telephony).

The new function, which is currently being tested by a rcs data nigeria handful of selected companies, is intended to make it easier for companies and service providers to call back interested parties. Most phones nowadays have a caller ID, but the new function can be used to determine which missed calls were received explicitly via a Google entry.

Anyone who then calls these interested parties back is, so to speak, saving money that is lying on the street. Missed calls should be visible for up to 45 days. That is, of course, a long period of time. In that time, the interested party may have already found what they were looking for elsewhere. It is therefore up to the person who is asked what they ultimately do with it.

The function can be switched on and off as desired. It remains to be seen whether the new function will become a permanent part of "Google My Business" after its test phase - as well as whether the function will then also be used in European countries. This feature is certainly interesting
