iving Lüneburg and Volunteer Coordination of the City of Gütersloh

Post by bhasan01854 »

There is a great desire to volunteer in Germany. But where? This is the question that countless people ask themselves, who often find it difficult to choose between suitable initiatives, associations and campaigns. Felix Englisch and Jonas Schröder wanted to solve exactly this problem when they invented the Mitwirk-O-Mat in 2020. The principle of the program is quickly explained: A web application tells citizens which of the numerous local initiatives for volunteering and commitment suits them best. After answering 20 short questions, the algorithm suggests suitable initiatives. Users can use the application to find out more, compare the suggestions or contact them directly. The attractive and low-threshold entry point into volunteering is available in Lüneburg with 68 registered initiatives and was consulted by more than 1,000 users a few months after its launch.
