What is the first thing that springs to mind when you hear the phrase “skeleton lucky ring”?
Punk? Pirate? Plague? Devil? Death? Or how about Steve Buscemi? (We don’t aim to insult anyone. Mr. Buscemi and his work appeal to me; he is one of Hollywood’s few real artists. But usa rcs data he simply seems… you know what we mean…)
We should clarify that if you equate the skull with anything nasty or unpleasant, you are completely mistaken.
The original meaning of the skull, which is relatively neutral and attempts to remind people to treasure their life and present, is a truth that is rarely understood by the general population. In certain cultures, such as Celtic, the skull is a sign of ancestor knowledge or power, and it is referred to as the dwelling of the soul. There are additional ideas that the skull is a good luck charm that may fend off evil or disease.
