Tweets from blocked accounts will not appear in your timeline. However, please note that you may see Tweets or notifications in your timeline about:
Tweets that mention both you and an account you've blocked.

To block from a tweet
Step 1
Click the icon at the top of the Tweet from the account you want to block .
Step 2
Click Block , then select Block to confirm.
To block from profile
Step 1
Go to the profile page of the account you want to block.
Step 2
Click the More icon on their profile page .
Step 3
Select Block from the menu .
Step 4
Click Block to confirm.
How do I know if I have blocked someone?
When you visit the profile of an account you've blocked, the "Follow" button will be replaced by a "Blocked" button.
When you visit the profile of an account you blocked, the account's Tweets will be hidden. However, you can view the account's Tweets by clicking the "Yes, view profile" button.
To unblock account X:
Visit the blocked account profile on X.
Click the Blocked button.

Hide options for words and hashtags
You may see content in Tweets that you want to avoid. We give you the option to hide Tweets that contain specific words, phrases, usernames, emojis, or hashtags. Muting removes these Tweets from your Notifications tab, push notifications, SMS, email notifications, your Home timeline, and replies to Tweets.
