Choose the type and location of the burial
The choice of burial type is directly related to the place where you or the deceased person would like to be buried. This is the key decision you have to make. All further planning will then follow from it.

However, burials are by no means permitted everywhere in Germany, but only in approved areas!
Danger
For example, it is not permitted to bury the deceased in your own garden or to take the ashes home. In Germany, it is also forbidden to create artificial diamonds from the ashes of the deceased, to shoot the ashes into the night sky in a fireworks display or to send them into space in a rocket.
