7 Services for Analyzing Other People's Websites' Metrics

Post by maksudasm »

Above we talked about the work of counters and plugins. There are still many online services for studying site metrics. Below are some of the most famous ones.

Alexa

Perhaps, it is this English-language product that has earned the greatest popularity and authority. It displays the number of visits, takes into account users around the world and gives a lot of information on them: demographics, age, gender, education, profession, marital status and much more.

Alexa is easy to use: enter the ireland email list website address and click "Find". The page that opens will display traffic data. The system takes it from plugins installed on other sites. Of course, not everyone has them, and in such cases the numbers will be quite inaccurate (but Alexa will still provide them).

Most Russian website owners do not install such a plugin, so the information on them will be approximate. A month of using the service will cost $ 50. There is a week-long free trial period.

SimilarWeb

SimilarWeb

The second most popular service for studying website metrics online. Shows traffic volume and the following data:

percentage of visitors who came from a PC and a phone;

age, gender of visitors;

audience geography (countries);

where the traffic comes from (via links, from social networks, etc.).

When collecting data, the system uses its own plugin and custom additional extensions (which ones exactly, data about this is not displayed).

Thanks to the cooperation agreement with Internet providers, SimilarWeb bots have access to websites and regularly monitor data on them. The system sends information that is open to access to a common database.

As a result, SimilarWeb collects much more accurate traffic data compared to similar services. But keep in mind that here too, the most accurate figures will be for sites that are more popular.

A monthly subscription will cost $199.

SEMRush

The program has a wide range of functionality and shows the following website metrics:

volume and approximate costs of traffic (both organic and paid);

number of active backlinks;

keywords that are likely to be in the TOP-50;

web resources of the main competitors.

SEMRush has been collecting data on website traffic since 2016, but its main purpose is to search for traffic inflow channels. To do this, the system studies the frequency of requests and, taking into account the CTR of each position occupied by the site, generates traffic reports. A month of using SEMRush will cost at least $99.95.
